We have Mike covering the Alaska, Washington, Montana, and Northern Idaho markets while Sam manages the Oregon and Southern Idaho markets.
Rob oversees all markets and helps Mike and Sam with development of their respective territories. He also interacts with Manufacturer Partners on a daily basis while also managing Key Accounts.
Paul, Maria, and Nuris keep us flexible and interacting directly with our dealer partners. It’s truly a Dream Team!

Rob Sutton
Principal Owner
Rob has built a distinguished career spanning more than four decades in the consumer electronics and retail industries. By the age of 30, he had already managed a 12V distribution company, worked with leading retailers including Costco and Sam’s Club, and overseen five successful car audio retail stores.
He went on to spearhead major interactive development projects and retail design initiatives at MTi, working with world-class partners, including Microsoft, Universal Studios, Best Buy, and Walmart in the US, as well as European powerhouses such as Media Markt, El Corte Inglés, and Saturn.
His strong industry relationships led him into key factory leadership roles, first at Jensen, and later as part of the team behind the creation and launch of the brand Dual. In 2007, Rob joined Kenwood in a Regional Management role, quickly becoming the Director of Sales, driving one of the largest growth periods in the company’s history.
Along the way, Rob helped friends John and Mike create the MESA Buying Group and forged a longstanding partnership with the EDA Group. He is widely recognized for his strategic vision, collaborative style, and ability to bring people together to form strong, high-performing teams. In 2023, he founded the Crossover Marketing Group with Paul Pilat.
Mike Hall
Senior Territory Manager, NW
Mike Hall has over 35 years of experience in the 12-volt industry, marked by a strong dedication and passion for the business. He began his career in retail, working in sales and installation at independent car audio shops in the early 1990s.
As Mike advanced in his career, he took on a store manager position at Car Toys, developing valuable leadership skills. He then transitioned to outside sales, representing major brands for over a decade and refining his technical knowledge and territory management skills.
With his extensive background, Mike is a very valuable asset to Crossover Marketing. He is poised to make a significant impact in his new role as Senior Territory Manager. His wealth of experience and industry expertise will serve him well in this position.
Sam Sutton
Territory Manager, NW
Sam Sutton represents the third generation of the Sutton family in consumer electronics. Growing up, he attended 12V trade shows and participated in Kenwood trips, experiences that gave him a unique and early perspective on the industry. Before joining Crossover, Sam attended Central Washington University and then worked as a Lab Tech at Absci, a generative AI drug exploration company.
Since joining Crossover, Sam has quickly built on-the-job 12V experience through extensive travel and back-office development, refining his skills every day.
Over the past two years, he has gained extensive industry knowledge, developing insights into market strategies and relationship building that are uncommon for someone his age.

Paul Pilat
Principal Owner
Paul brings his extraordinary process-oriented mindset along with an extensive 40+ year career that spans the technology and consumer electronics market sectors to the company. His broad set of roles and responsibilities in Consume Electronics included business development, product marketing, design, sales and marketing and sales training with such notable companies as Acoustic Research, Monster Cable, Day Sequerra, MTI and RCA.
Beyond the CE industry Paul worked 24 years at Intel in various technology sectors, including Intel Labs where he focused on analyzing emerging technologies and developing successful strategic partner diffusion paths that accelerated industry adoption.
Paul was nominated into ATAS (Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) for his work in the formation of Emmy Awards recognizing excellence in interactive Media categories. In 2023 he founded the Crossover Marketing Group with Rob Sutton.
Maria Alejandra
Team Lead, Customer Service
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English and currently learning Japanese, Maria is the Customer Service Lead and main point of contact for Crossover Marketing.
She manages dealer interactions and serves as a bridge between dealer partners and manufacturer partners, ensuring clear communication.
Maria is known for her exceptional attention to detail and follow-through. Her warm, approachable personality creates a personal touch.
Her strong communication and deep understanding of dealer needs set a high standard for service. Maria’s proactive approach and organizational skills streamline processes, resolve issues efficiently, and foster lasting relationships, making her an invaluable asset to the Crossover Marketing team.
Nuris Trejos
Customer Service
Nuris speaks both Spanish and English fluently and is currently learning Portuguese. She has a degree in Accounting and has managed all parts of a retail store, giving her the ability to relate to our dealers.
Armed with a steady approach and attention to detail, she can be counted on to handle anything that comes her way, whether it’s a routine responsibility or something more complex.
Her friendly nature helps her connect easily with others, and her positive attitude brings out the best in those around her. Nuris’s practical problem-solving skills and reliability make her a valued part of the team.
With her mix of experience, attention to detail, and friendly attitude, she’s always up for a new challenge and makes our team stronger.
